| In Spain it looks like the promoted teams will be Alaves, from Vitoria, capital of Alava province; Celta from Vigo; and Cadiz, from the provincial capital of the same name. Two others could unseat any of the above: Recreativo de Huelva, from the provincial capital of the same name; and Eibar, from the town where they make firearms in the Basque country. Four games to go; Alaves has 72 points, Celta 70, Cadiz 68, and the other two 65; Recreativo is at home to Eibar this weekend, so one or both of these two may more-or-less drop out of the running. Relegated teams: for sure, Numancia, from the provincial capital of Soria; and Albacete, from the provincial capital of the same name. At the moment, Levante of the city of Valencia is the third victim; Mallorca has a one-point lead over Levante and has the tiebreaker also. Mallorca is at home to Betis; Levante is away to Villarreal with one game to play. 85-15 in favor of Levante being relegated. |

| In Romania the relegated teams are Universitatea Craiova (from Craiova, ~250 km west of Bucuresti), FC Brasov (from Brasov, a town in the S-E part of Transylvania, ~150 km north of Bucuresti) and most probably Apulum Alba-Iulia (from Alba-Iulia, a small town in the heart of Transylvania). The second division is divided into three separate regional leagues, the team that finishes first in each one promoting to Divizia A. The situation is as follows: - B1: FC Vaslui is surely promoted. They are from the town of Vaslui, in Moldova, some 70 km south of Iasi - B2: 2 teams are fighting for first place - CS Otopeni (from a small town of 10.000 inhabitants just outside Bucharest) and Pandurii Targu-Jiu (from Targu-Jiu, 100 km N of Craiova) - B3: 2 teams are tied in first place - Jiul Petrosani (from the small mining town, N of Targu-Jiu) and Gaz Metan Medias (from Medias, in Transylvania, not far from Alba-Iulia) |

the only other team considered for promotion is sv kapfenberg, who play in central austria, they got a game against their direct opponent in the next and last round, but as in austria the decider is goal-difference they gotta win at least 7-0 what is highly unprobably |

| In Sweden as in Russia new season already started. Last season there were 3 teams relegated:
1. Very famous "AIK Solna" (Including resignation of their president Mr. Lennart Johansson ) 2. Trelleborgs FF 3. Örebro SK FK, which was relegated because of licensing issues.
3 teams started in new season:
1. BK Häcken from Göteborg 2. Gefle IF from Gävle which is 100 km north of Stockholm 3. Assyriska F , they actually were third and compete with 12th place relegation play-off, however lost it but were promoted due to the fact that Örebro were refused license to participate in allsvenskan this year. |

| One more information about SCG:
You might remember Buducnost Banatski Dvor from last year when it played UEFA cup or from the year before when it played SCG first league. But, do not try to find Banatski Dvor on any map. I've been trying to do it for so long time that I do not still belive that it realy egsists. You will have to settle with Zrenjanin, because some say that it is located only 2 miles from Banatski Dvor. |

| A few more .. and some confirmations/corrections.
Czech Republic - Ceske Budejovice and Opava relegated. FC Siad Most promoted. 3 other teams in contention for final promotion place.
Slovakia. Rimavska Sobota relegated. FC Nitra 6 points ahead of Steel Trans Licertovce with 2 to play so promotion almost certain.
Slovenia. One off Rudar Velenje and Nafta (Lendova) will be promoted automatically. The other will enter a play off with FC Koper. Zagorje relegated. (Note however that - according to rsssf.com Olimpija have been refused a license and if this decision is upheld promotion/relegation may be affected.
Switzerland - play-off already covered. Servette demoted. Yverdon-Sport achieved automatic promotion.
Ukraine - Obolon Kyiv and Borysfen Boryspil relegated. Stal' Alchevs'k promoted along with one of Arsenal Kharkiv or Zorja Luhansk.
Italy - promotions not yet known. Relegated Brescia, Atalanta and one from a play-off between Bologna and Parma.
Moldova - again promotions unknown but Steaua Chisinau down and Unisport-Auto Chisinau must play a relegation play-off.
England - 3rd team promoted West Ham United.
Confirmations.
Spain - Levante relegated.
Romania - Apulum Alba Iulia relegated.
Corrections.
1.Juda_Cossa (2/6). Tatabanya indeed promoted in Hungary but no longer called Lombard Tatabanya. se separate "Hungarian question" thread.
2. Juda_Cossa (2/6). For Macedonia I think there is an error on rsssf.com. They show Makedonija GP promoted from Level 2 but show the same team in a promotion/relegation play-off rather than the 3rd team Renova (Cepchiste). The two teams finished level on points. www.ffm.com.mk shows Renova second and they had the better head to head record so I think they were automatically promoted and Makedonija GP are in a play-oo with Madzari. Other play-off Turnovo v Cementarnica.
3. Team from Katowice are indeed relegated - now Dospel Katowice not GKS. (Sorry author original not noted).
4. Triki 26/5. Promotion of Rad (Belgrade) not yet confirmed although I agree it is 95% sure!
5. Vlad-tzepesh 25/5. Details given correct but there are still 4 teams in contention for promotion from Seria 2. Add FC Sibiu and Petrolul Ploiesti to those already given.

And I certainly wont contradict you on your point about their appeal. You know more about this than I. When I used the phrase "are indeed relegated" I was just intending to confirm everything else you said was true and I was merely correcting the name. Bad use of words! |

As to "Dospel", one of the biggest air-condition makers in Poland they were the clubs sponsors as long as the club played good and their finances stayed clear (for Polish football). As soon as bad things started to happen they left the club. |

GKS Belchatow, Korona Kielce and Arka Gdynia whent up to Extraklasa. The fight for the last place looks to be between Odra Wodzislaw and Widzew Lodz/ Podbieskidzie or Kujawiak.
